Soya Aloo Tikki

Tikki made with soya granules and boiled and mashed potatoes...follow the recipe:-

Cooking Time:- 20 min
Servings:- 4-6

Ingredients:-

  1. 1 cup soya granules 
  2. 5 medium boiled potatoes
  3. 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  4. 8-10 black peppercorns
  5. 1 inch ginger
  6. 2 green chillies 
  7. 1/2 cup fresh pomegranate seeds
  8. 1/2 tbsp chat masala
  9. 1 tbsp cornflour 
  10. Salt, as per taste
  11. 1/2 tbsp garam masala
  12. 3 tbsp oil
Directions:-
  1. Dry roast coriander seeds and crushed black pepper corns in a pan.
  2. Chop ginger and green chillies.
  3. In a mixing bowl mix ginger, green chillies and pomegranate seeds.
  4. Coarsely grind coriander seeds and black peppercorns and put into the bowl.
  5. Add chat masala and mix well.
  6. In another mixing bowl add mashed potatoes and soya granules.
  7. Add cornflour, salt and garam masala powder and form a dough.
  8. Heat oil in a pan. 
  9. Divide the dough into equal portions and stuff with pomegranate mixture and form a shape of a tikki. 
  10. Shallow fry the tikkis turning sides till evenly cooked on both sides.
  11. Sprinkle chat masala on tikkis and serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.
