Methi Rolls


Make easy snack for winters for tea time...follow the recipe..

Ingredients:-

  1. Chopped Methi (fenugreek leaves), 1 cup 
  2. Salt, 1 tbsp
  3. Sugar, 2 tbsp
  4. Coarse Wheat Flour or Semolina(Suji), 1 cup
  5. Cooked Rice or Grated White Pumpkin, 3/4 cup
  6. Oil, 3 tbsp
  7. Curd, 2 tbsp
  8. Turmeric Powder, 3/4 tbsp
  9. Red Chilli Powder, 1 tbsp
  10. Asfoetida, a large pinch
  11. Baking Soda, a large pinch
  12. Chilli-ginger Paste, 1 tbsp
  13. Oil for greasing/frying
Directions:-
  1. Rub salt and sugar on the methi leaves until they soften and water comes out.
  2. Add rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  3. Add enough water to make soft balls.
  4. Make the soft balls or make long rolls from the mixture.
  5. Fry them in medium hot oil Or arrange them on a greased plate and cover the rolls with a piece of butter paper and cook in a microwave oven on medium high for 3-4 minutes or until done.  
  6. Serve hot with green coriander chutney.
